Stan Sternbach


A multi-faceted, multimedia artist, Stan’s art has evolved into a unique approach expressed on canvas as well as in his dimensional wood sculptures.

Fascinated with the contrasts of the gentle design and color used in the Orient with that of the oldness of the American Southwest design and color, Stan has found a parallel between two cultures. His impressions are reflected in his diverse range of works --from Hopi Indians to Japanese Geisha: jungle animals to women of the 90’s. With his desire to explore new techniques, Stan has recently created a series of Flora that are explosive in size and color.

A stickler for authenticity, Stan draws on his 25 years of extensive world travel to incorporate factual design into his sculpture and paintings. All pieces are embellished with intricacies based on Stan’s vast personal experiences and comprehensive research. It is by combining these traditional characteristics with a touch of whimsy results in delightful, fanciful works that bring pure enchantment to the viewer.

Stan’s artistic talent has been nurtured throughout his life. A Pratt Institute graduate who studied at the New School of Social Research in New York, Stan’s career in advertising has garnered awards in the Art Director’s Annual and many other highly respected publications. At present Stan is an instructor at the old School Square Cornell Museum in Delray Beach, Florida
